Here are our protective, devoted, hard-working hounds.
Tough, tough life they lead.
I was watching TV with my doggies yesterday. Ocean and River put up with the news and such but they love shows about other dogs. And so do I. Yesterday’s choices were particularly pertinent to them.
I sat with them, pointing out different scenes for them and explained how other dogs work for a living, how other dogs are abandoned and have it so much harder than mine do. The explanations were lost on my two fluff-balls.
These two are nothing like the hard-working, driven dogs that I saw on TV. Their noses aren’t trained to catch drugs or criminals and they certainly don’t work for hours on end. Instead, they like to try and destroy the yard we’ve enclosed for their protection and are very picky about the treats they eat.
A science based exploration of (mostly) dogs ... and the occasional rant.
