It’s not necessarily that cold out today but it’s certainly dark outside. It’s only 7am and the akitas are up to their old tricks.
I am not eating this kibble unless I get some cheese in it.
Ocean has already eaten her blueberries and pieces of a pizza slice that I gave her in her breakfast. The kibble, though is a different story. She stares at it endlessly hoping it will sprout something interesting. Eventually, I take it away and she sighs with disappointment.
I have eaten my breakfast and scoured around the kitchen for crummies. I’m exhausted.
This is River, who has eaten his breakfast and would have eaten mine and Ocean’s without so much as a how-do-you-do. Instead he had to settle for snooping around the kitchen looking for crumbs. He’s obviously sadly neglected.
And me? I’m savouring a delightful cup of coffee. It’s massive and steaming and just delicious. Obviously I’m sadly neglected too.
How is your Saturday morning going?
Ahhh Saturday mornings. There is something simply delicious about them. The entire weekend is ahead, full of possibilities. I have a big cup of coffee in my hand. I’m typing away and my dogs are softly snoring at my feet. It’s the highlight of my week.
The house is dead quiet. My hubby is still in bed and the dogs, having had their breakfast and short little romp outside, are sleeping at my feet. The only sound around is the clicking of the keys on my laptop. It’s so peaceful.
There’s snow outside, and cold weather and ice and who knows what else. But, right now, nothing negative appears on my radar. It’s just me, my cup of coffee and my little blog. What a delicious morning.
Thanks for being a part of it with me!
