Where I get a new computer

We were at the mall today…and, well, long story short, I have a new computer. And it’s beautiful. It’s truly a beautiful thing.

It’s a MacBook Air. It’s light and beautiful and, compared to the monster that I used to have, it’s so thin.

I can’t complain about my old one. I’ve had it for years and years. It holds many memories. But taking it with me meant a massive effort in terms of weight. It weighs a substantial amount and I always had to debate whether it was worth the effort it required to get the benefit of using it. Most times, I opted to not have a computer just to spare my back.

Now, I have this light, beautiful computer in my hands and I can’t get over how nice it is.

France, you’re in our thoughts and prayers

I just heard about the terrorist attacks in Paris. My thoughts and heart go out to all the people of Paris and France.

The 1,000 Voices Speaking for Compassion Facebook group passed 1,000 members sometime late Friday night or early Saturday morning. There’s also a WordPress blog for it now, and I have confirmed that there will be a linkup for it on Feb. 20. RECAPVIEW: The Walking Dead S5E01, “No Sanctuary”

A fantastic new development at Sourcerer! We now have Luther M. Siler contributing! I’m so excited! Check out his very first post!

Sourcerer

The-Walking-Dead-Season-5-Key-Art-Hunt-Or-Be-Hunted_001Hi!  I’m Luther Siler.  I have somehow convinced the fine folks at Sourcerer that letting me do reviews of AMC’s The Walking Dead is a good idea.  I am not sure how; it may have involved blackmail and certainly involved black magic.

Actually, I’m not certain that “reviews” is going to be an accurate description of what I’m doing.  Maybe it’s a recap.  I dunno; I’ll figure it out as I go along.  Point is, now I’m here, all postin’ on somebody else’s blog and stuff.  Time to break shi… uh… things.

A bit about me:  this is my blog, these are my books, and this is my Twitter.  I work at a school as a day job and at a miniature golf course as a night job; my wife and my three-year-old take up the rest of my time.  This post is…

News and upcoming

Just finished reading Julie James’ It happened One Wedding. Check out my review on my Goodreads sidebar!

I’ve also updated the links for editing on the editing page. The link is on the side under ‘resources for writers’.

I’ve also just finished reading ‘The Benevolence Archives‘ by Luther M. Siler and ‘The Pact‘ by Jodi Picoult. I’ll post my humble thoughts on those books tonight and tomorrow. I chose these books because they’re outside my usual genre (romance!) so I thought I’d stretch my tastebuds. Let me know what you think about the reviews or the books!
