Upcoming books!

I love knowing the releases of upcoming books. I write them in my agenda and they help me get through dreary Mondays at work. I go through the author sites, check their upcoming releases, then write them into my agenda religiously every year. This time around, I thought I’d share some of the titles I’m particularly excited about with you guys. That way, if you’re a fan, you can also add them to your list.

Madeline Hunter has Tall, Dark and Wicked coming out October 6th.

Nora Roberts has Stars of Fortune coming out November 3rd.

Nalini Singh has Archangel’s Enigma coming out September 1st.

Elizabeth Hoyt has Sweetest Scoundrel coming out November 24th.

Mary Balogh has Only a Kiss coming out September 1st.

Kristen Ashley has Hold On also coming out September 1st.

Jill Shalvis has All I Want coming out October 6th and My Kind of Wonderful December 22nd.

Annabel Joseph has Torment Me coming out at the end of September.

These are just some of the amazing books coming out before the end of 2015. Do you have others you’re looking forward to? Share them with me! I’d love to add them to my list. 😀

Ode to excerpts

How I love excerpts. Let me count the ways,

1. They’re free. They require no financial commitment. No risk. You don’t have to pay a thing and yet, you get to sample. Awesome.

2. They’re small. No need to worry that it’s 500 pages and you don’t have to the time to read it. An excerpt is small, a couple of pages at most. It’ll take maybe a couple of minutes and you’re either hooked or not interested. Easy.

3. They’re fun. I hesitate to try horror or drama, but in an excerpt, I’ll try anything. Anything. Yes, even a cooking book.

4. They’re usually really, really good! The author picks a piece that’s tasty and interesting. Either we’re about to meet the hero or they find out something terrifying or you laugh. In any case, the excerpt is a good piece of the pie, worth savouring.

5. I get to find a new author I love. Authors that I love to read are like precious jewels. I hound their sites waiting for their next release. I read and re-read their books over and over. I write their release dates on my agenda and wait impatiently for that next book. They’re a treasure and a girl can never have enough of them. If an excerpt can give me a new author to love, I’ll be over the moon.

Want to try some? Hm? Don’t they sound yummy? Well, here are a few excerpts to wet your tastebuds. Hope you’ll find a new, fantastic author!

Review: Then Came You

Emily is doing her interning Sunshine, Idaho. She’s an LA girl and counting down the days until she can leave the little town and get back to the big city. She’s determined, spirited and has an easy sense of humour that helps her laugh at her own mistakes. Those qualities help her, but they’re not enough to get over the issue Sunshine presents for her: her boss Wyatt.

Wyatt and Emily already met, as in, really met. They shared one smoking night and as luck would have it, he’s her new boss. When they realize they’re going to be working together for a year, they try to keep things professional. And fail badly.

Wyatt is handsome and kind. He loves animals and helps out his two quirky sisters.

Like the previous books, this one is filled with funny, delightful animals that are as realistic as they are humorous. In particular, I have a soft spot for Peanut the parrot. He’s hilarious. But the human characters are just as funny and interesting.

Then Came You is the perfect summer read. A love story that will make you smile filled with characters you want to know.

Tuesday Teaser

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

“With no choice but to actually finally face this head on, she looked Wyatt in the eyes. Oh yeah, it was him.”

Pg. 7 from ‘Then came you’ by Jill Shalvis.

Eagerly waiting for…

There are a few books I’m desperately anticipating for the summer.

Mary Balogh’s The Escape is coming…I can’t say enough good things about Mary Balogh except she’s on my automatic-buy list for very, very good reason. If you like historical romance, she’s amazing.

Jill Shalvis’ Then Came You is also coming out this summer. It involves two things I love, romance and puppies. Absolutely the best! Can’t wait.

Now these are only two I’m really looking forward to. There are tons of books coming out. Check out this post by All About Romance with their list of upcoming books.

Do you have any books you’re excited about? Any you’re looking forward to for the summer? Share them with me! I’m always looking for new books–especially if they’re romance! 😀
