I love For Better of For Worse and one of my favourite characters is Farley, the dog. He’s just hilarious and so authentic. Dogs truly do the things he does.

Saturday Morning at the Akita House

It’s early morning here and we’re up. After a breakfast with a bit of broth and their usual kibble, my two fluffy dogs have settled to watch things outside the window. There’s a cutie-patootie rabbit that comes to our grass to eat breakfast on a regular basis and my two akitas are fascinated by his every move.

Oohhh That rabbit!

They’re both at it right now, faces against the window, trying to get to the little rabbit while I sip on my breakfast cup of coffee.

If we were having coffee

If we were having coffee I’d tell you that it’s finally fall here. Fall in Canada has a crispy, cool feel to the air that’s unique to this time of year. It’s cold but it doesn’t have the harsh bite of winter’s winds so it’s lovely. The leaves are beautiful too. They explode into a million shades of yellow, gold and bold reds that makes walking a spiritual experience.

So, to the delight of my two fluff-balls of dogs, we had two walks today. It was just that gorgeous outside.

If we were having coffee I’d tell you that I just survived a professional ‘development’ day where the most useful thing I learned was that the ladies in that particular cafeteria don’t know the difference between a vegan and a velociraptor if one bit them on the leg.

This was their version of a vegan lunch…
