Another rush of those amazing posts came my way and I couldn’t resist but to collect a few of them and line them up for you. See if you like them. My hope is you find a couple useful or at least interesting.

I haven’t kept my writer’s block a secret from anyone. If you have this, you know how painful it can be. This post is from Nathan Bransford on the subject. He has his own version of a break through. If Nathan Bransford doesn’t do it, here is the latest help on that subject from The Write Practice, by . Finally, Tiny Buddha has this great post on how to keep dreaming when others have discouraged you.

Free right now, in Amazon, this book is a great help to Write better. Check it out and get it…free! And a HUGE thanks to Winter Bayne for this tip!

Pay It Forward Friday: Luther M. Siler

Pay It Forward Fridays came from this post by Emily Guido. The idea is to feature a blogger or author on Fridays and give them a little shoutout. Anyone goes as long as they’re interested.

I’ve received an incredible amount of support from bloggers, authors and people I’ve met on line who didn’t know me and were just very kind, supportive souls. And, when I read that post by Emily Guido, I thought: time to give back.

I loved this quote from Emily’s mother:

“I cast a couple of pieces of bread on the water and the waves bring me back a ham sandwich.”

Karma is a beautiful thing.

Today I’m focusing on Luther M. Siler.

He says of himself:

“Luther Siler was born in 1976 in northern Indiana, where he currently resides along with his wife, three-year-old son, two cats, and two dogs. In his spare time he works at a school helping other people be awesome. His favorite authors include John Scalzi, N.K. Jemisin, Brandon Sanderson, Cherie Priest, Salman Rushdie, Mira Grant/Seanan McGuire, H.P. Lovecraft, Robert Howard, John Irving, Nnedi Okorafor, Saladin Ahmed, Helene Wecker and Stephen King.

He writes about space gnomes and Mars. His novel SKYLIGHTS and his short story novella THE BENEVOLENCE ARCHIVES: VOL. 1 are both available on Amazon now. Another book in the BENEVOLENCE ARCHIVES universe, as yet untitled, is expected early next year.”

Luther has written two books so far:

They’re both available on Amazon. Click on either cover.

But that’s not all. Luther has written a ton of short fiction and is going to be a part of an upcoming collaborative work titled World Unknown Review with a group of other authors.

Personally, I’ve read Luther’s writing and find it highly addictive not only because it’s lively, fun and so easy to read but because his humour is contagious. Rare is the day when I don’t read his blog posts at Infinitefreetime.com. If you’re a fan of science fiction, check out his books at amazon and you’ll see why everyone’s ranting about them.

Five stars to Olivia’s Choice!

Olivia’s Choice just got an amazing, glowing review and I’m over the moon. Reading Page by Paige ranted about the book and I’m just grinning like a little fool right now.

Here are some of my favourite quotes from the review:

“Olivia’s Choice made me want to create an award called “Prologue of the Month”. Because then I could give it straight to Taylor Grace”

“Olivia’s Choice was a book I could not put down! I literally spent the entire night reading it and lost countless hours of sleep because of it.”

“It was funny as heck. I kept laughing out loud at this feisty and awkward MC, Olivia. But the book had some serious moments as well, mix that with some super steamy scenes and we get a great book that I am proud to give 5 stars to.”

Want to read the entire thing? Here it is.

A huge thank you to Reading Page by Paige for taking a chance on my book!

Oh…and if anyone’s interested, it’s on sale at amazon! 😀

Olivia’s Choice Page: Updated.

The Page for Olivia’s Choice is getting some exciting changes.

One, the blurb has been shortened and spiffed up.

Two, I’ve cleaned up the reviews and added two new ones. One by the Bookie Monster and another by Romance Reviews.

Three, D. Emery Bunn has run through the book and checked the editing. He’s an absolute grammar-Ninja. Any and all misplaced comas suffered an untimely death. The new, shinier Olivia’s Choice will be up and running as soon as I can update all those changes. See the sidebar for an update to where I am in my fight against those run-on sentences and that dreaded passive voice.

I’m pretty excited about it all. Why not check it out and let me know what you think!

GO BUY MY BOOK

If you’re looking for a good read, I’d go no further than this.

Choices

So I’m trying to get Olivia’s Choice (my book) to be free because I love free stuff. But I have a choice to make. Right now, my book is in Amazon for $2.99. It’s the lowest price in KDP and I had to enrol in it to self-publish.

So, I checked with Amazon and they would allow my book to be free (for only 4 days!) but I would have to keep it in KDP for 90 days. That means I can’t publish it anywhere else for free or lower that $2.99 price.

On the other hand, I could publish it on Smashwords, make it free there and ask Amazon to price match. They may or may not do that and they would take months to consider the idea. Meanwhile, it would be free on Smashwords but not on Amazon.

I need input. What do you think is the best idea? Any thoughts?
