10 Things Every Writer Should Feel (at least once) from Alianne Donnelly was an excellent post that moved me and I had to include it here.

A fantastic round up of links from Sourcerer. Loved it!

Hilarious post about a doggie adventure from Just ponderin’. It had me laughing because that is just what will happen if you have dogs. And the pictures were awesome.

I loved this post on Gender and Genre by KJ Charles. It was both insightful and moving and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

I love diverse, complicated characters. Here‘s a great post on how to create those nifty, deeply layered personalities in your books by Nicohle Christopherson in Writerology and, before you leave the site, check out this other post. It’s got tips on how to take a character who appears nice and move them over to the ‘nasty’ side of things with just a slight personality change. Awesome post by Skye.

Super-interesting and certainly a stand out post, I loved this one by Alianne Donnelly because it was gutsy, eloquent and full of passion.

Robin Williams passed away this week and this particular post about him was so beautifully written that it moved me to include it here. It has incredible poetry and wonderful prose from I Am not the Batman.

7 reasons why writing a book makes you a champion, what a lovely message by Now Novel.

Just an indulgence on my part, this post has 50 weird town names in Canada you won’t be able to pronounce from Reader’s Digest! Hilarious–at least to me.

A fantastic blog by a wonderful person, Gene’O is reorganizing things. I’m so excited because I know there are good things coming our way on this blog, Just Gene’O. Just look at what he’s planning!

Great tips for your blog posts, this one is from Jeff Bullas and his site is oozing with awesome posts on how to improve traffic.

From photography to D Day, this week has it all! I loved the varied selection of amazing posts!

If you like photography, you might want to check out this post by Hansstellingsma. There are some truly beautiful shots.

I love the blog theme: “If we were having coffee…”. It’s written in such a way that it’s whimsical and yet so inclusive. It feels like the middle of a good book, when I know the characters and I’m comfortable in the story. A few of my favourite blogs follow it. I thought I’d share them here. Here’s one by Part Time Monster and another by The Writing Catalog.

A excellent post for those interested in Twitter, Sourcerer explains just what Follow Fridays are and how to do them. With lists to look for and clear steps this is a great help for anyone looking to increase followers.

I loved this post by Winter Bayne because, for me, the story starts with the characters. I have a list (not unlike hers) that I must answer about the hero and heroine before I go anywhere near a plot. A great tip for other writers, thanks for the great post, Winter!

On June 6, 1944, D Day started in Normandy and everything changed. This one is a breathtakingly beautiful and thoughtful post on the anniversary of D Day by Chris Musgrave. A big thank you for that inspirational post.

A book list for summer reading! I was delighted with this post because it had books! To read! With covers and everything! Absolutely awesome! I can’t say thank you enough to AMY ALESSIO for the post.

A rant by Alianne Donnelly that’s so well written, I wanted to cheer. As a romance reader and writer, I can so sympathize. Thank you so much for sharing such an honest post!

I loved, loved the posts this week and I think you’ll see why below. They’re just top notch. Absolute gems. Check out these beauties.

I love getting links and tips and here, Winter Bayne sent out a selection of blogs she adores. A big thanks to her because I love finding new blogs!

This one is great for that writer’s toolbox. Nathan Bransford posted this great selection of tips for before, during and after writing your masterpiece. Keep in mind he actually wrote a book on how to write books and it’s doing really well. These posts are the top writing advice posts from his blog. Don’t miss out.

I loved this post by David J. Delaney because my characters too seem to do what they want at times and I have a difficult time bringing them back to task.

This one is a really interesting post about writing as therapy–from the author’s perspective. They always say, ‘write what you know’, so it makes sense that our characters would have pieces of us in them.  Thank you Victoria Grefer, for the great post!

If you’re a fan of the bad-boy hero, check out this post by A.O Peart at Romance University. Not only does it explain the reasons behind the attraction, it has a list of possible bad-boy heroes in books you may not have yet read…Yum!
